Memberships
The Southern Tier Community Center offers an OCFS registered School Age Child Care Program. The SACC Program goal is to provide a safe environment and developmentally appropriate care for youth outside of school hours for Parents/Guardians whose work hours go beyond the school day.
During our program, we offer and encourage a variety of activities such as art, gym, imaginative play, board and strategy games, homework help, reading, outdoor games and STEAM-centered learning activities. Our program provides a healthy afternoon snack daily. We follow OCFS regulations for staffing in all programs. Currently, that mandates at least a 1 to 10 staff ratio.
Our School Year- SACC program primarily serves youth from Union Endicott and Maine Endwell School Districts. Union Endicott has four Elementary Schools and one Middle School that we work with regularly. We offer Before and After School Care at Charles F. Johnson, George F. Johnson Elementary Schools, T.J. Watson, and Ann. G. McGuinness schools to the Southern Tier Community Center for After School Care. We are currently negotiating how to best serve the families with children in Middle School.
Maine Endwell School District has two Elementary Schools, Homer Brink and Maine Memorial, that serve as Before and After School Care locations.
Before-School starts at 7:00 a.m. and runs until the first bell. After-School runs from dismissal to 6:00 p.m. We also offer care on school breaks and Superintendent days.
